About these terms

These terms are between you and Mynzak & Company ("we," "our," or "us"), a consulting firm based in British Columbia, Canada. They cover mynzak.com, including the Business Health Check, Insights, our newsletter, and any other tools we offer through the site. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Information, not advice

Everything on the site, including the Health Check and our Insights, is general information. It is not financial, legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and it is not tailored to your business. Before acting on it, consider your own circumstances and speak with a qualified professional where appropriate.

Your Health Check score is a simple self-assessment based on your own answers. It is a useful starting point for a conversation, not a professional assessment of your business.

Becoming a client

Contacting us, completing the Health Check, or booking a discovery call does not create a client relationship or any obligation on either side. Consulting work only begins once we both sign a written agreement that sets out the scope, fees, confidentiality, and responsibilities for that engagement. If that agreement differs from these terms, the agreement applies to the engagement.

We bring care and diligence to every engagement, but we cannot guarantee specific results, because business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

What you share before we work together

We treat everything you send us with care and in line with our Privacy Policy. Until we have signed an agreement with confidentiality terms, please share only what you are comfortable sharing, and hold back anything highly sensitive, such as trade secrets or financial account details.

You keep ownership of what you send us. You give us permission to use it only to respond to you and to explore whether we are a good fit. If you send us suggestions or feedback about our site or services, we may use them freely to improve what we do.

Using the site fairly

When using the site, please do not:

• Submit false information or someone else's details without their permission.
• Send spam, malicious code, or anything unlawful or abusive.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content, or use automated tools to access the site beyond normal search engine indexing.
• Try to access areas or tools that are not open to you, including sign-in-only tools such as integrations for AI assistants, or test or probe the security of the site.
• Interfere with the site or other people's use of it.

We may limit or block access for anyone who does not follow these terms.

Our content

The content on the site, including text, graphics, the Health Check, and our Insights, belongs to Mynzak & Company or the people who licensed it to us. The Mynzak & Company name and logo are ours and may not be used without our written permission.

You may view and print content for your own use or for use inside your business, share links to our pages, and quote short excerpts with credit to Mynzak & Company. Please do not republish, sell, or repackage our content without our written permission.

Emails from us

Our newsletter is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how our emails work.

Links to other sites

The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please review their terms before using them.

Site availability

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or up to date, and we may change or remove content or tools at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Because the site and its tools are free, our total liability to you for anything related to the site is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited. Client engagements are governed by the liability terms in the engagement agreement.

If something goes wrong because of misuse

If you misuse the site, infringe someone else's rights, or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs that result.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site will be handled by the courts of British Columbia. If you use the site as a consumer, these terms do not take away any rights you have under the laws where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site or the law changes. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and if a change is significant, we will also note it on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

The fine print

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the full agreement between you and us about using the site.
